Are you planning on coming to shule on Rosh Hashana, but not sure why?
Do you find the service frustrating?
Well, here we come to save the day!
Coogee Synagogue, in conjunction with BINA, is hosting an evening of inspiring talks on the meaning behind the Jewish New Year.
Come along to Coogee and gain answers to the eternal question: Why?
Why come to shule?
Why care about Rosh Hashana?
And importantly: Why do we blow the shofar and eat apples dipped in honey?
Inspirational speakers will convey to us in 15 mins each, the importance and meaning of Rosh Hashana:
Rabbi Michoel Gourarie (BINA) – The Prayers of Rosh Hashana
Judith Levitan-Sterling (Modern Orthodox lawyer and daughter in law of our past president, Nick Sterling)
– The Women of Rosh Hashana
Rabbi Yakov Chaiton (BINA) – The Symbols of Rosh Hashana
Date: Monday 26 September
