Global Day of Jewish Learning

Let my people know is a plea by Rabbi Steinsaltz of the Aleph Society based in the USA.

In Sydney this years’ Global Day of Jewish Learning will be held at Coogee Synagogue.

The focus will be ‘The Shema” and will be run in conjunction with BINA

Welcome to the Global Day of Jewish Learning 2011 at Coogee Synagogue!

By participating today, you are joining thousands of others around the world, from various

Jewish communities, backgrounds and affiliations who are celebrating this annual event.

Sydney is one of 300 leading Jewish communities around the world participating in the

Global Day of Jewish Learning. The program celebrates Rabbi Adin “Even‐Israel”

Steinsaltz’s motto, “Let my people know”…the core Jewish ideas and texts.

The program will begin with a brief welcome, followed by a series of classes facilitated by

local scholars and teachers.

Come to one session or all – it’s up to you. We hope you enjoy the experience.
