We are very blessed at Coogee Synagogue to have an active and committed Ladies Auxiliary, which has been an integral part of the shul since the 1950s.
Everybody seems to be so busy these days, with most women juggling careers, home and family and yet the Ladies Auxiliary at Coogee Synagogue thrives, not only providing a weekly Kiddush every Shabbat morning but also being one of the few shuls to do our own catering for bar/bat mitzvahs, call-ups, baby-namings etc. As all the ladies are volunteers this is an important source of revenue raising for the synagogue.
We are a very friendly, inclusive band of helpers, spanning all ages and backgrounds and newcomers are often surprised by the happy atmosphere in the kitchen. By helping out a few times a year you will not only be contributing something worthwhile to the community but you will also be part of a team.
